Everglides offers expert boot fitting services both in-store and online. With over a decade of experience, our knowledgeable staff will guide you through boot models, features, strength considerations, and the perfect fit.

When purchasing boots from Everglides, fittings are complimentary with any new boot purchase. If you prefer a fitting-only option or need time to decide, we charge £35.00 for a fitting appointment, which is later deducted from your future purchase.

Weekend & Weekday Boot Fitting (1.5 Hours)

Our most comprehensive fitting option, perfect for skaters who want a full consultation and same-day preparation.

• Detailed consultation: Measurements and biomechanical analysis to ensure the best fit for your skating style.
• Boot & blade selection: Up to one hour choosing the right model with expert guidance.
• Professional preparation:
  • Heat moulding to shape boots to your feet
  • Blade mounting & sharpening
  • Boot presses for areas such as bunions, ankles, bumps on the back of the heels, or navicular accessory bones
  • Pre-made or custom insoles (if required)
• Same-day finish: Skates fully prepared and ready to use within the session.
• Best for: Skaters investing in new boots and blades who want a complete, personalised service.

Express Boot Fitting (1 Hour)

A streamlined service for skaters who already know what they want.

• Quick try-on: Around 30 minutes to test your chosen boot size or a close alternative.
• Efficient preparation:
  • Heat moulding to shape boots to your feet
  • Blade mounting & sharpening
  • Boot presses for areas such as bunions, ankles, bumps on the back of the heels, or navicular accessory bones
  • Pre-made or custom insoles (if required)
• Ideal for:
  • Growing children needing the same boot in a larger size
  • Skaters confident in their choice of boot model
• Note: Not suitable if you’d like to try multiple boot styles or explore a wide range of options.

• Available at two locations: Basepoint or Rink (same service, same staff rotation).
• Includes:
  • Heat moulding to shape boots to your feet
  • Blade mounting & sharpening
  • Boot presses for areas such as bunions, ankles, bumps on the back of the heels, or navicular accessory bones (Basepoint only)
  • Pre-made insoles (if required)
• Boots tailored for:
  • Skaters beginning lessons
  • Recreational skaters enjoying time on the ice
• Important: Not suitable for skaters close to or already performing jumps — these require Weekend or Weekday fittings at Basepoint.
• Best for: New skaters who want a supportive, comfortable start.
